ROCK SPRINGS * In an effort to meet budget constraints, the Wyoming Department of Transportation has rescheduled several projects for 2007 that were originally planned for 2006. WYDOT's funding level has remained at a constant level and with inflation the agency is forced to reduce the number of projects.
The District-Wide Bridge Rehabilitation Project will be moved to 2007. This project consisted of five bridges. Those bridges on Interstate 80 include the bridge over the Green River at milepost 86.3, the Covered Wagon Road Interchange bridge at milepost 85.7 and the Leroy Interchange at milepost 23.9. Other bridges include the Granger Road Interchange bridge on US Highway 30 over I-80 and the bridge over the Green River on WYO 28.
Other projects being moved to 2007 include repairs to the bridge over the Little Sandy River just south of Farson on US Highway 191, additional deer fence in Nugget Canyon west of Kemmerer and sidewalk improvements in Evanston that include Americans with Disabilities Act compliant improvements.
